We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for the 2025 African Diaspora Agrofood Forum (ADAF25). Your presence, participation, and passion made this year’s event an inspiring gathering of women visionaries and changemakers shaping the future of our food systems. The powerful message emphasised throughout the discussions, was that women hold a vital role in the transformation of the global food system. Our speakers reminded us that women in agrofood are not just contributors but they are also leaders and innovators driving sustainable change across communities.

As several speakers noted, women do not only need to be applauded for doing well; they need investment, resources and opportunities to scale their impact. Empowering women through tangible financial and institutional support is essential if we truly want to build equitable and resilient food futures. Another key takeaway from ADAF25 was the call for stronger partnerships and collaborations among women entrepreneurs and with other stakeholders

It was particularly symbolic that this year, for the first time in ADAF’s history, we had joint winners of the Agrofood Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The winners are Margaret Debrah of EATO Ghana and Yanda Olga of WAziEats Cameroun.

We are grateful to our partners and supporters who made ADAF 2025 possible especially Enabel, FAO, City of Brussels, Caribbean Chamber of Commerce Europe, Sankaa vzw, Alefa Diaspora and GFAIR. Your commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability and inclusion in the agrofood sector continues to motivate us. We also extend special appreciation to our distinguished guests and speakers for their valuable insights and presence.
